It's been an amazing couple of days. We've been focusing on HNMs a lot more then the past few months and I gotta say: Its about god damn time. From what I've heard DL has been in a little bit of a slump as far as motivation to do shit; this went on even to the point where the HK players started complaining and doing their own stuff without DL. A lot of people have decided that we as an LS need to step up in the absense of Hankun. It takes a bit more work then it did when Hank would TELL people what to do because people are lazy and don't want to move from their mog houses. After a bit of fighting and convincing people that we actually ARE gathering at the time, they get their asses in gear and we get shit done.

We fought Cerberus on Monday this week and finally got the whole strat down perfectly. Had around 25 people switching in and out of the alliance tanked by 2 Ninja. The final push went off with only 2 Gates hurting us. When it died it only dropped the meat and hides. Later that same day we got Nidhogg with a solo pull from Carmn and got him into the party after fumbling around with leaders. I was on 75 PLD and finally got to down that mother fucker as a main tank. It went off really really well for being in the middle of the day where we didn't have a lot to choose from as far as jobs went. Nidhogg dropped (Dalmatica) and (Hecatomb Subligar). Dolmen got the (Dalmatica) (fuckin hell ya) and I got the (Hecatomb Subligar).

I left Endor @ (Halvung) for Cerby today and noticed HoCD camping. Neorei was there when I logged off and then Januz was there when I logged on. I guess they had gone AFK because he popped today and they never noticed. I got home and we went to town on it. It took a lot of convincing that we had enough people to do it. A total of 18 people showed up, about 6-8 stunners, 1 SMN, some melee and healers and tanks.... this time we mixed it up a bit and did all PLD/NIN which was cool. Hate control was a bit rough but we bit the bullet and owned that fuck with 18 people. Drops were (Algol) 2 claws, 1 hide, 2 meats. First update in a while I know, been working on a lot of stuff lately and just haven't had the will to post. Since my last post I have been XPing as hard as I possibly can. Made level 75 (Paladin) a few nights ago and equipped (Valor Surcoat) and damn is it sexy. I also scored Koenig Hands in (sky) a week or two ago. Camped Charby for (Joyeuse) and got it after 3-4 hours, very easy kill. Right now I'm busy working on a couple of things...

DL has been doing a bit better I think. There is still some fighting between members but we've actually started taking some action. We're running CoP runs to catch everyone up to (sea) and we started camping kings again. We got the pull on Adamantoise last night, but too bad it wasn't Aspidochelone. After we camped Adamantoise we gathered for CoP. CoP is a whole lot of fun. We split up into two groups, the first group (my group) helped me get past (Phomiuna Aqueducts). It was very easy, Allyssa just ran to the minotaur and had us all pulled in so we didn't have to go as one big group. The fight was a bit rough at first because everyone was staying in the room and getting owned by the Taurus' Mow, an AoE move which deals damage and gives poison. A few people went down but all three tanks and a few healers stayed up and we downed it. We got to the cut scene no problem. After that it was time for (Riverne - Site #A01) BC. Our PT setup was RDM WHM WHM NIN NIN PLD (Or something like that). This BC was hard but we pulled it off really nice. I (PLD) kited one of the Mammets around with Ally silencing, binding, and gravitying the bitch while each NIN soloed the other two with healers backing them up. We did it in about 20 minutes. So I figured since I'm back in the game now I'd get this LJ started back up. I'll explain a couple things before I start with my in-game news. Most of the images on this site are broken. This sucks because I spent a lot of time on them and got them to exactly how I wanted it. My friend who was hosting the images got into a fight with the band who owned the site name and they sort of had a falling out where the host deleted all the files on the site; this included all of my images and a lot of code of mine. Good news is that I got all of my predefined actions for editing pictures all remade in Photoshop and my Semagic is updated with my text editing macros so I can make nice looking posts very quickly.

Anyway, I came back to the game and most of my gear was on people's mules. Got all my (Dark Knight) equipment back np np. Almost the same night I came back we were busy doing (Dynamis-Xarcabard) because no one showed up for (Dynamis-Valkurm) ~~ including (Paladins) ~~ and since no (Paladins) were there of COURSE (Valor Surcoat) had to drop. I had the highest (Paladin) at the time so I got the drop.



Ive been hammering away levels for the past 1-2 weeks trying to hit 75 once and for all. Almost level 69...XP cap is getting large. Today in my XP parties I decided to play a (Tarutaru). Partied in (sky) for a while getting shit XP because all the camp sites were taken at 8am. After that we took a 1 hour break to regroup and run some errands and ended up making 6-7k XP/h in (Kuftal Tunnel). Here are some pictures of Taru-Endor and XP.







It seems after 6 months of being away from the game that there is a lot of internal turmoil inside of DL. Tons of people have split into their collective cliques and talk about everyone behind everyone else's back. No love it seems, and every person I talk to other then my close-close friends and family seem to have more sarcastic attitude then normal...it kind of sucks. I think shit needs to happen to get back the <3... Ive been designing a trial website for DL, check it out.

There is no real way to start "the longest post of all time" except to talk about the post itself. Because of my extreme lazyness, I haven't been updating the past few days. Me and Squishy moved into our new apartment IRL and have been working on that so we haven't had a lot of time to do things IG. But even though we haven't been on much, I still have like 3,958,395 pictures to post and a bunch of shit to say. So here goes, the longest post of all time.





Tiamat. There is nothing in this game that I hate more then the 3 world dragons. We went to Tiamat in the morning at around 12:00-1:00 PM EST. After assembling enough people to theoretically kill him, we went after him. The parties were kind of messed up and(Dark Knight) had to sub in for extra (Stun) until more (Black Mage) got to the battle zone. We fought him down to around 10% and he decided he didn't want our tanks living anymore. Supposedly this was because of Bria's Garuda being killed by touchdown, but that doesn't really matter. What counts is the fact that we wiped and we wiped hard. Here are some pictures of the first Tiamat fight...

Tiamat...again....*sigh*. So after we wiped we left it. Didn't try to recover because a lot of people had lost the will to fight. We were down to around 10 people there at one point when people started signing on and coming again. A few of the HK tanks had to leave so we were left with Klaw & Daiji. We began again just as xtreme-bot had arrived in a force large enough to kill . Although we know they don't have the integrity). This time we took him down a lot faster then before and with less trouble. @1%, the final fucking push. He kills our two tanks again. We thought we could kill him because he was literally at 1%. No. We wiped again, but not completely this time. We started getting people up just to hold his enourmous HP regen down. People were throwing their XP at him to try and save this one. 1/2 of us HPed back to (Jeuno) and the other half got (Raise) I and somehow lived. We claimed him again at 10% and FUCKED him up. This time we were so pissed about wiping 2x in a row that we plain owned him. At around 2% we slept him and talked it out trying to calm down the (Stun) order which was getting a bit disorganized. After that 2% he went down like a chump, and at least it was worth it...

Again DL changes its mind on what we're doing. We were originally going to goto (Dynamis-Beaucedine) but changed because Spiritswithin was doing it there. Instead we went to (Dynamis-Bastok) which I don't think was a bad move at all. We went in with around 20-25 people which isn't a small amount for DL at all. All I have to say about the run is PWNT! We ran in and just owned. Got the win AND 10 pieces of AF2. Here are the highlights from the night...

I was a little disappointed today because we didn't do gods tonight but it turned out to be a pretty productive night for DL. We went to do force pop HNMs for (Toreador's Cape) and (amaltheia hide) in (Lufaise Meadows) and (Uleguerand Range).



We did (amaltheia hide) NM first. This guy was a funny. We pulled him and I immediately died and that is where I laid for 1/2 of the fight. When I got there we had 2 Tavnazian Ram aggro sleeping and about 3-4 Tavnazian Sheep being fought solo by many people. Not only that but it has a strange counterattack and random spell casting of (Holy). This spell is especially deadly because it has a large AoE move that is (Max HP Down) and makes everyone around him pretty much in a weakened state so when his (Holy) hits you better have blinks or you die. This coupled with it calling its little "angel sheep", DL has dubbed this battle "Jesus Ram". Congrats to Bria for popping and getting drop and congrats to DL for winning this beast of a fight.

God dammit...




We went to fight Geush Urvan for the (Toreador's Cape) in (Uleguerand Range) after we killed Jesus. Ive heard horror stories about this guy and thought that it was going to be a lot worse then the (amaltheia hide) NM.... This guy was a chump! His deal is that he hits for around 600-1200 each time and casts (Bindga), (Paralyga), and (Blizzga) III. We tried tanking it with (Ninja) (blink) but that ended up not working so we resorted to old fashioned (Paladin) kiting and it went off so smooth. This guy has a very low amount of HP compared to Amaltheia so he went down quickly. Im not saying we didn't have any deaths, which we did, but in comparison to my original opinion on what the fight was going to be like this guy was cake. Here are some snaps of what it was like :D

There has been some small talks about me taking over the DL site. I'm going to start creating some interfaces to see what they think and for them to pick which one they like. The first step is talking to Jojin about it though since he runs the current site. Other then that the only news for the future it seems is "GODS CANCELLED ~ cannot find good time for everyone will do next weekend"... DAMMMMMIIT I want a (Seiryu's Sword), my (Dainslaif) is getting very old...

I just put in a new video card that my lovely girlfriend got for me :D

After my break off of FFXI for a week Im back to the grind for my extremely gimped subjobs. I started on (Warrior) and thought it was going to be horrible but it turns out WAR/NIN is extremely fun. I don't mind tanking but the timing to get a blink off while something is spamming double attacks at you is very difficult to get. I wanted to borrow Malis' (Peacock Charm) but he has never taken it off yet and I don't want to be the one he does it for :D however, my gear isn't too horrible even without the charm...



My party today is the best I have had in 3 days. We just started at (Garlaige Citadel) and are making decent XP for the basic party setup that we have. (Warrior), (Ninja), (Thief), (White Mage), (Black Mage), (Red Mage) is the roster. Here is some random screens of me as a Warrior...

As far as DL goes I think I am pretty happy where I am. It makes me sad that because of DL I don't get to spend much time in Inspire, but after I quit for 4 months it seems that everyone moved on to bigger and better things. I came to DL to hang out with my friends from Inspire. Mainly it was Reiayn, Animes, Modrack, Ohm, and Aldrez. After I joined DL a lot of Inspire came into DL with me. Eldonia, Ameliarose, Bastilla, Dolmen, and Squishy. However, after a few weeks and months of being in DL half of these people quit playing regularly. This isn't as much of a problem as I thought it would be because Ive made awesome friends in the process. Just gonna throw shout outs to Blaize, Malis, and Ninjavu...you guys are hillarious bitches ;D and all my LJ friends too.

Lately DL hasn't been doing much in the HNM/Sky area. Personally I think if we formed (sky) teams again it would start up some motivation to go do things together because right now it seems its every man or woman for themself. We could form sky teams to do items and regular god kills and then (Gather together) for Kirin kills. DL used to be like this but stopped for some reason (I think it was related to people wanted to switch teams or something like that). It might be a good time to start that up again... well I lost my train of thought on this subject, but I will write on it sooner.



Plans for the next few posts:

1) Post a total profile for my (Dark Knight) and (Paladin) jobs
2) Get an overview of what I plan to accomplish with my jobs
3) Think about more post ideas...


(btw if anyone wants my Actions for Photoshop for them to edit and use, comment and ask for them. They're really cool and make pictures look more vibrant and slick, you can just change "ENDORDL" in the Action to something different)

Dynamis-Jeuno was a lot harder this time around for some reason. The last time we ran through with 18-20 people with almost no problems at all. This time we have 0.5 wipes and 3 AF pieces drop so all together not such a bad run. (Monk), (Ranger), and (Ninja) AF2 dropped tonight.

I plan to speak with Hankun about some changes that I feel would benefit DL. I think we've all become a little complacent about our time in DL and although I like how close we all are, I think we could get a lot more done if we all got together and started hunting items and gods more often. Its the summertime and yet we still don't do as much as we used to. Ill post more about that later, for now its bed time. /nod /nod /peace

I decided to join the club. I've seen everyones Livejournal and I am constantly impressed with them so I decided to start my own. Ill begin listing my own goals for this game as well as some goals outside of the game because I feel that are related. But for now I think Ill just post some pictures of tonight's (Dynamis-Jeuno).
